First State Community Action Agency will be celebrating 45 years of service with a dinner and recognition ceremony, Monday, Nov. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover.

The event’s theme, “The Power of Partnerships,” is set to honor major champions of the agency—community partners, staff and sponsors—whose service, dedication and support has helped First State bring programs of relief and hope to communities affected by poverty.

Highlights of the evening will include musical entertainment, magnificent food, silent/live auctions, and dynamic keynote speaker, Dr. Carolyn A. Massiah, Marketing Professor at University of Central Florida and former native of Bridgeville (Coverdale Crossroads community). Tickets are $50 each. Proceeds will benefit anti-poverty programs helping low-income families, individuals and communities.  For more information or tickets, call (302) 856-7761.
