  • Spencer was born, well, sometime in January of 1999.  He was a stray; found on the highway and the vet told us he appeared to be about 2 months old.  His breed was All-American.  Spencer came into our lives and our hearts and soon adapted to his new family with Ray and JoAnn Hopkins at night and at Servpro of Sussex County during the day.  He never missed a day in 13 years!
He loved walking to work every day with JoAnn, even in the snow.  Sometimes he even walked home as well.  You could hear him barking and see him prancing down the sidewalk and know that he enjoyed his walk.  Another favorite was to ride to the post office every day with Ray to collect the mail.  He watched out the window as the trucks rolled in at 4:30 in the afternoon every day and greeted each and every employee and then knew it was his time to go home
Spencer will be sadly missed by his family, Ray and JoAnn Hopkins, feline friends, T.J. and Molly; and his Servpro family – Kizzy Besses, James Buchanan, Chuck Cannon, Matt Cranmer, Jody Johnson, Rosemarie Johnson, Chris Kneipp, John Lupinetti, Richard Phillips, Shawn Robertson, Tim Robertson, and Holly Steele.
There are numerous people that touched Spencer with kindness and love in his life and we wish to thank all of you for being a friend to him.  We have often said that the ‘T’ stood for trouble, but we really know that it stood for Terrific.  Spencer was one terrific dog!  Rest in Peace, our friend.
