Izetta R. Sipple, lifelong resident of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at home. She was 80.
Izetta was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late Byron and Ida (Palmer) Rogers.
She was a Lab Operator for E.I. Dupont and Company in Seaford for 17 years and had also worked with Indian River School District, for 17 years, in the cafeteria.
Izetta was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, in Georgetown and past member of Georgetown Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed vacationing, shopping, country music and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her greatest joy; her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Sipple, in 2007; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Richard Hairgrove; and Ronald E. Sipple, her late husband’s twin brother.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Swain and husband Dennis, of Millsboro; three grandchildren, Jordan and Logan Dorey and Kole Swain; a brother, Paul B. Rogers, Sr., of Georgetown; two nephews, Paul B. Rogers Jr., and wife JoAnn and Kevin Rogers and wife Jackie King, all of Rehoboth; sister-in-law, Margaret “Bootsie” Sipple; two brothers-in-law, William A. and Joyce Sipple and Larry R. and Connie Sipple; and a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service was held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, with visitation after.
Burial was in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Georgetown.
