Annabelle Lee King of Laurel, DE, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. She was 95.
Annabelle was born September 25, 1916 in Laurel, DE the daughter of George Elmer King and Flora Ellen (Carmean) King.
She was employed as a seamstress at local garment factories in the Laurel/Seaford area.
Annabelle was an active member of King’s United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s group there. Annabelle also attended Providence United Methodist Church in Georgetown, DE with her niece and family.
Annabelle lived a quiet life and enjoyed family outings and being around people whether young or old.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Thomas King and sister-in-law, Ruth B. King.
She is survived by her nieces, E. Kathy Smardon, of Jericho, VT, Connie E. Mears, of Georgetown, DE and nephew, E. Thomas King, of Laurel, DE. She is also survived by 3 great nephews and 1 great niece, 6 great, great nephews and 1 great, great niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at King’s U.M. Church, Gordy Road, Laurel, where friends may call after 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel, DE.
