A portion of Route 9 in Georgetown will close to truck traffic on July 16 while road crews make repairs to worn-out pavement. The work is expected to continue through August 3.
The section affected is the Route 9 (Truck Route) between Route 9 and S. Bedford Street extended.
Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Only local residents and truck deliveries to homes will be allowed during that time. At 7 p.m., the roadway will open to all traffic.
There may be some delays for residents and school buses due to the clearing of equipment from the roadway, but accommodations will be made for their access.
