Mar-Del Watermelon Association giveaway set for Aug. 1

 

Delaware residents and visitors along the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk will be getting free slices of watermelon on Aug. 1 as part of an annual event from the Mar-Del Watermelon Association and the Department of Agriculture.

The give-a-way will begin at 11 a.m. near the bandstand at 229 Rehoboth Ave. Information about the nutritious benefits of the fruit will also be handed out.
