  • Kathleen P. King of Boothwyn, PA, formerly of Georgetown, passed away on August 6, 2012 at the home of her daughter.  She was 89.

    She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Roland & Helen (Lloyd) Passwaters.

    She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corp serving at the Pentagon during World War II.  She was a homemaker and loved baking and reading.

    She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corp serving at the Pentagon during World War II.  She was a homemaker and loved baking and reading.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Donroe King, & sisters, Arietta, Gladys, Marie, & Marion, & brothers, George & Herbert.
    She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Mark Prentice, & grandsons, Joshua & Seth, all of Wilmington,  & one sister, Edna Neibert, of Blades.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to:  Bethel Baptist Church, 1217 Wilson Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
