A Blades man and a Seaford woman have been charged with multiple counts of rape following a police investigation into the sexual assault of two girls, ages 14 and 11.
Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said the investigation began July 26 when the 14-year-old girl informed family members that she had been the victim of continuous sexual assaults while in the company of family friend Tobias Cerillo, a 35-year-old Blades resident, since early December 2011.
In one incident, Cerillo and 30-year-old Carrie L. Leager of Seaford provided alcohol to the two girls before sexually assaulting them at Cerillo’s home in the 200 block of East Sixth Street in Blades, Fournier said.
Cerillo and Leager are each charged with multiple counts of rape, unlawful sexual contact with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, indecent exposure and several other charges.
Cerillo is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on a $255,000 cash bail, while Leager is being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle on an $81,700 cash bail.
Both Cerillo and Leager have been ordered to have no contact with the victims or anyone younger than 18, Fournier said.
Anyone with information about similar incidents involving Cerillo and Leager are asked to contact state police by calling (302) 856-5850, ext. 218 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
