  • Reba May (Lake) Wells, age 78, of Redden, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford.


    Reba was born May 6, 1934, daughter of the late Elmer E. and Amanda (Donovan) Lake.  In addition to her parents, Reba is preceded in death by her husband: Paul B. Wells on Decemer 26, 1998, and a daughter: Pamela J. Gordy.

  • Reba May (Lake) Wells, age 78, of Redden, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford.
    Reba was born May 6, 1934, daughter of the late Elmer E. and Amanda (Donovan) Lake.  In addition to her parents, Reba is preceded in death by her husband: Paul B. Wells on Decemer 26, 1998, and a daughter: Pamela J. Gordy.
    Reba retired from L.D. Caulk Co., in 1993 after 28 years’ service.  She was very active in the community and volunteered at Harrison Senior Living and Home of the Brave.  Reba was a mentor with North Georgetown Elementary School and was also very active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. 
    Reba was a member of McColley’s United Methodist Church and served as Treasurer.
    She is survived by two daughters: Sandra Rockemann and husband Richard and Brenda A. Enders; 3 grandchildren:  Tonya Rockemann, Michelle Rockemann Rogers and Cory Enders; a great grandson, Hunter Shane Rogers; and 3 brothers: Robert Lake and wife Ida, Fred Lake and companion Marlene Nance and Enoch Lake and wife Joyce.
    Her family and friends were the joy of her life. 
    A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown with visitation after 11:00am.  Burial will be in McColley’s Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, Reba requested donations be made to McColleys Chapel, c/o Grace U.M. Church, 7 S. King Street, Georgetown, De  19947, Ellendale VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2931, 14411 VFW Road, Ellendale, DE  19941, Harrington Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary #1229, PO Box 339, Harrington, DE 19952, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #6, PO Box 781, Seaford, DE  19973, all of which she was a member or a charity of your choice.
