  • Georgetown Historical Society has released the speakers list for the group’s meetings during the upcoming season.


    The sessions will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Marvel Carriage Museum, 510 S. Bedford St., Georgetown.


    Sept. 10 - Vincent Gisriel Jr, “Hearts Away, Bombs Away.”



    Oct. 1 - no speaker.


    Nov. 5 - Scott Thomas and Karen Duffield, “Private Showing – Tourists Scenes the Public Can Not See."


    Dec. 3 - no speaker.


    Jan. 7, 2013 - Mike Dickson of Elkton, “The Crime and the Time: The History of Criminal Justice in Delaware.”


    Feb. 4, 2013 - Rob Gibbs, “Tin Antique Toys from the Late 1800s through 1960.”


    March 4, 2013 - Chuck Fithian, “Bayonets of the Revolution – The Delaware Regiment during the War for American Independence.”


    April 1, 2013 - no speaker.


    May 6, 2013 - Jack Knolls “The Days Gone by Museum – How it came to be and how you

    can see it.”
