Nanticoke Cancer Care Services hosted "Turning Sussex Pink" Oct. 1 at the annual Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.

Participants gathered at the Nanticoke Cancer Care Center where they were given a candle to carry honoring survivors and remembering those who lost their battle with breast cancer; pink torches lit the way for walkers.

The walk ended with a ceremony at Seaford's Gateway Park, which was decorated in pink lights and ribbons. The featured speaker was Tracy Passwaters, a breast cancer survivor and sonographer at Nanticoke Services.
