  • A 30-year-old Dagsboro man is wanted on multiple criminal charges in connection with a burglary, a pair of assaults and a theft case.
State police are asking for the public’s help in locating Wilbert L. Perkins, who allegedly choked two people in separate incidents in recent months.
In the first incident, Perkins broke into a home in the 30000 block of Moore Street in the Holiday Acres neighborhood near Frankford on July 4, according to Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
Perkins allegedly assaulted and choked a 27-year-old man inside the home.
Fournier said the victim in that case and a 25-year-old woman were able to flee and run to a neighbor’s house for help.
In the second incident, Perkins was involved in a physical altercation with a different 25-year-old woman in the 30000 block of Power Plant Road near Dagsboro when he reportedly put his foot on the victim’s throat.
Fournier said Perkins also is wanted by the Millsboro Police Department on a theft charge and has an active warrant for his arrest issued by the Sussex County courts. Additional information about those cases was not immediately available on Monday.
Perkins also is facing charges of burglary, strangulation, assault, terroristic threatening, theft and criminal mischief, Fournier said.
Anyone with information about Perkins’ whereabouts is asked to call Delaware State Police at (302) 856-5850 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
