The Sussex Countian will host a candidates debate at Sussex Central High School from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

State Senate District 19 candidates Democrat Jane Hovington will face Republican write-in candidate Brian Pettyjohn from 6 to 6:40 p.m.

Incumbent District 33 State Rep. Ruth Briggs King, a Republican, and her Democratic challenger Elizabeth McGinn will take questions from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.

Incumbent Republican Sussex County Councilman Sam Wilson, Democratic challenger Gary Wolfe and Libertarian challenger Ronnie Fitzgerald will take the stage from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
