  • State police are looking for a convicted sex offender from Georgetown who has been missing since Oct. 19.
    William C. Banks, 40, was living a 1 New St. in Georgetown, but failed to register a new home address or report his whereabouts to the Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit within three days, as required by law, police said.
    A moderate risk Tier 2 offender, Banks was convicted of statutory rape in Pennsylvania in 1993, according to the Delaware Sex Offender Central Registry.
    Police said he may be staying in the west Rehoboth Beach area.
    Banks is described as being 5’10” and about 150 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and numerous scars on both arms. He also has used the aliases K-Sear Banks, X Knowledge, Knowledge Star, Clarence Banks, Anthony Parker and Antonio Vega.
    Anyone with knowledge of Banks’ whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Delaware State Police at (302) 739-5882.
