A 40-year-old woman is accused of killing her 5-year-old son and a 7-year-old girl in order to cause her husband pain, police said as the Chicago-area woman was charged with two counts of first-degree murder. DuPage County (Ill.) prosecutor Bob Berlin said Thursday that the woman, Elzbieta Plackowska, confessed to police that “she began stabbing her son Justin and told him he was going to heaven tonight. He pleaded for his life and told her to stop, but she continued stabbing him until he was dead.”
