  • A 23-year-old Milton-area man was hospitalized early Sunday after being shot multiple times at a home near Harbeson, according to state police.
    The victim was taken to an unidentified hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat “several” gunshot wounds to the lower extremities, a Delaware State Police spokesman said.
    The man’s wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
    The victim has not been identified and few details about the shooting have been released at this time.
    For now, police are saying only that they discovered the gunshot victim after being called to Nika Lane near Martins Farm Road, southeast of Harbeson, about 1:20 a.m.
    An investigation is ongoing
