While many of you are enjoying your paid day off today, I’ m at the office doing long term planning for 2013. We’ve got plenty of work to do in 2013, but based upon the economic uncertainty, I don’t think we’re hiring for next year. If Romney had won, we probably would be hiring for next year. We don’t have a measure for how many jobs are not created in our economy, just how many are lost, which is unfortunate.
But I am thinking one other thing. The Republican Party which led a revolution in constitutional philosophy in 1860 didn’t exist in 1856. Instead of trying to make our current system work, which seems impossible, maybe it would be nice if the Freakoid considers bringing anti trust suits against both existing political parties. Once Holder is indicted and a new Attorney General appointed, maybe that individual will have the guts to admit that it is not Congress or the president who is intransigent, but rather that we have two parties that don’t represent anyone in this society other than themselves, and that creative destruction mandates a playing field in the business of politics.
Happy Black Friday, ye Wal Mart employees who are lucky to have jobs.
