A pair of armed robbers forced their way into a Laurel area home on Wednesday before fleeing in a stolen car, police said.
The two men were wearing black masks and carrying handguns when they entered the home in the 15000 block of Arvey Road, southeast of Laurel, about 9:45 p.m., a Delaware State Police spokesman said.
Once inside, the men held a 22-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman at gunpoint while rummaging through the home.
The men eventually demanded the keys to a red 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt parked outside, which they used to flee in an unknown direction police said.
Neither woman was injured during the incident.
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the car, which has a Delaware license plate with the number 508200.
The two armed robbers are described as black men, both about 135 to 150 pounds. One is between 5’10 and 6’ and was last seen wearing black clothing. The other is between 5’6” and 5’8” and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the two suspects or the stolen vehicle are asked to call Delaware State Police at (302) 856-5850, ext. 255 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
