Sussex County Habitat for Humanity held a "First Nail Ceremony" last month at a new home under construction in the Georgetown Point community.
The home is the second construction project in the neighborhood specifically sponsored by proceeds from ReStore, Habitat for Humanity's resale shop at 107 Depot St. in Georgetown.
Future homeowners Dario Perez and Blanca Velasquez participated in the Nov. 20 ceremony, along with Habitat board member Kay Herrman and executive director Kevin Gilmore, ReStore manager Denise Jackson and volunteer Deb Snyder, and construction volunteer Tony Etze.
ReStore accepts donations, including appliances, building materials, furniture, windows and other household items.
Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
