Edith Elizabeth Rust Insley, 91, of Seaford, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Asbury Rust and Ratie Evelyn Donovan Rust.
She received her licensed practical nurse training at Dorchester County Hospital and worked for several years following. She lived in Sharptown for over 60 years and attended the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing, especially the older hymns and until her health failed she enjoyed cooking and needle point.
She is survived by a sister, Gladys R. Wilson of Georgetown; 2 brothers, Charles S. Rust of Dagsboro and Carlton Rust and his wife, June of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Royce E. Insley; and 2 brothers, Fred and Norman Rust.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be Reverends Gilbert and Ruth Newnam. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
