The Newark and Seaford Women, Infants and Children (WIC) offices will close January 7-11, 2013 while a new data system is installed.
The system, called Delaware WOW (WICE on the Web) will allow employees to better serve participants in the program. But it means the Hudson State Service Center (Newark) and the Shipley State Service Center (Seaford) won't be able to provide services. WIC peer counselors are conducting special outreach to participants with expected delivery dates during this time to assist them through the system transition. All other WIC sites in Delaware will remain open.
The offices will re-open on January 14 for regular business hours. For more information about the temporary closings, call (800) 222-2189 or visit www.delaware.gov and enter "WIC" in the search field.
