  • A man and a woman are facing drug charges following a police raid at Georgetown home just days before Christmas.
    James May, a 51-year-old Georgetown resident, and Megan Couchman, a 26-year-old Lewes resident, were arrested Dec. 21 after Georgetown police executed a search warrant at a home on Conaway Street in the southeast section of town.
    During a search of the home, police reportedly seized 12 grams of crack cocaine, 34 bags of heroin, $3,500 in cash, as well as a 2002 Cadillac DeVille and a 2008 Dodge Caliber.
    May and Couchman are each charged with possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver heroin, conspiracy and other drug related offenses.
    May, who also goes by the alias “Kool-Aid”, is being held at an undisclosed detention facility on a $24,000 cash bond, while Couchman is being held on an $8,400 secured bond, police said.
    Georgetown police said it was the second time they’ve arrested May on drug-related charges in three months
    Following a police raid at the same home on Sept. 21, May was charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, police said.
    Sherman Jackson Jr., a 54-year-old Lewes resident, also was charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine following the raid in September, police said.
