A 24-year-old Rehoboth Beach man is on the lam after stealing his grandmother’s credit card and making $2,500 worth of purchases, police said.
Maxwell J. Schenck was living with his grandmother when he stole the credit card in November, according to a state police spokesman.
He reportedly used the stolen card to make purchases at various businesses in the Rehoboth Beach area, including Walmart, Safeway, Royal Farms and Ruby Tuesday, where the last fraudulent purchase was made on Nov. 25.
Schenck is wanted on 61 counts of unlawful use of a credit card and two counts of felony theft. He also is wanted by the Rehoboth Beach Police Department on a theft charge and three outstanding warrants issued by various Delaware Courts, police said.
