  • A 26-year-old Georgetown man is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash near Seaford on Thursday morning.
Guy A. Adolphe Jr. was initially taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford before being taken to Christiana Medical Center, police said.
Adolphe was driving a 2002 Ford van west on German Road, just east of Concord Pond Road, about 9:45 a.m. when he lost control in a moderate curve, police said.
The van left the north side of the road and struck a tree before spinning into another tree.
Police said Adolphe was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.
German Road, east of Concord Pond Road, was closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash and cleared the scene.
