  • A 42-year-old man is facing drug-related charges after police found a suspected meth lab at his Seaford-area home on Thursday.
Benjamin W. Wright was caught smoking methamphetamine when police raided his home in the 26000 block of Walker Road in the Up Country manufactured home park southwest of Seaford about 11 a.m., according to Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.
Detectives later uncovered key ingredients used to make meth, as well as component mixtures in the manufacturing stages, on Wright's property, he said.
Walker Road was closed for about three hours while police dismantled the suspected meth lab. No evacuations were ordered, Fournier said.
Wright is charged with two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine and four counts of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on a $7,000 secured bond.
Fournier said Wright's arrest was the result of a several months-long investigation by the Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit.
