Sussex Technical High School will hold student and adult education job fairs in the coming week to mark national Career and Technical Education Month.
A high school career fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday during which dozens of local businesses to talk to the school’s 1,300 students about the job market, the education they need to be competitive and the career paths in their respective core tech area.
A similar adult education career fair will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 11 for the school’s 3,000 continuing education students.
Representatives from more than 30 businesses and agencies will attend the fairs, including Beebe Medical Center, Nickle Electric, PNC Bank, Delaware Electric Cooperative, Nanticoke Health Systems, DelTech, First State Community Action Agency, County Bank, Delaware State Police, George Sherman Heating, CHEER, LaRed Health Center and Widener University.
