  • Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown recently celebrated the conclusion of J-Term 2013 with a student showcase and open house.
On Jan. 18, students used display booths and personal testimony to share their experiences from the service, mission, travel and hands-on academic opportunities provided by the 2013 J-Term.
The annual, two-week J-Term provides DCHS students the opportunity to explore God’s purpose and plan for their lives, according to school marketing director Susan Gum.
This year, more than 30 students participated in internships in multiple career fields, while another 50 students worked on two homes in Georgetown being built by Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.
Other students remained on campus where they prepared senior testimony projects, participated in spiritual/athletic training classes, assisted the Delaware Family Policy Council team or embarked on photography, short film production, fine art and culinary art courses.
Some students also served in Jamaica, Germany, England, France, Italy and Ireland.
