A 48-year-old Laurel-area man is facing child pornography charges following a police raid at his home on Thursday.
Angelo F. Perri was arrested after officers with the Delaware Child Predator Task Force searched his home in the 12000 block of Whitesville Road and seized a computer and other digital media, according to the Delaware Department of Justice.
A forensic preview of the seized items reportedly revealed multiple files containing child pornography, including a video depicting an unidentified girl between the ages of 6 and 8 engaged in a sex act with an adult male.
Perri is charged with 11 counts of dealing in child pornography. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown in lieu of a$660,000 cash bail.
Authorities said Perri's arrest was the result of an investigation that began with a tip from the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which had linked the online distribution of child pornography to Delaware.
"It's a sad fact that every week the investigations conducted by our Child Predator Task Force uncover images and videos that record unspeakable crimes against children," Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden said in a statement released by the his office. "We'll continue to aggressively go after those who create, possess and distribute child pornography to hold offenders accountable and reduce the threats to our children."
