  • Anna Rae Wilson, age 101, of Georgetown, DE passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born in Bridgeville, DE on November 6, 1911, daughter of the late Charlie "Buck" and Floy (Hubbard) Larimore.
    She was an only child and often spoke of her happy childhood growing up in Bridgeville. She married Harold Foster Wilson in 1934 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his death in 1991.
    Anna was an accomplished crafter who enjoyed beadwork, crocheting, and needlework. Her crocheted blankets were warm and colorful; her decorative tea towels, Christmas ornaments, and beaded decorations were always a big hit at the annual church bazaar.
    For many years, she grew beautiful roses and delivered them in fragrant bouquets to neighbors and friends. Anna also enjoyed reading and word find puzzles. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Mary Rebekah Lodge #15.
    In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her son-in-law Andrew "De" Challman and her eldest grandson Barry A. Challman, both of Georgetown, DE.
    She is survived by and will be missed by her beloved daughter, Carole Wilson Challman of Georgetown, DE; one grandson: Scott Challman, his wife Becca and their daughter Grace of Georgetown, DE.
    In keeping with her wishes, a graveside service will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, Delaware at 11:00 A.M. February 13, 2013.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Wilson’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
