Donald E. Beck, 80, of Georgetown died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his home in Georgetown, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 23, 1932 in York, PA, a son of the late Martin A. Beck and Helen Minnie Beck.
Donald proudly served his country in the US Army with the 7th Calvary during the Korean War. He worked many years as a district sales manager for the Morton Shoe Company. He had a creative side to him that led his talents in the arts, and was a very talented artist, musician and sculptor.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Josephine DiGiacomo Beck; a daughter, Paula Norman (Allan) of Georgetown; a son, George Garron (Lucy) of Milford; and a grandson, George. He is also survived by a brother, Leslie Beck of Ohio, 4 sisters, Shirley Coffit of South Carolina, Maxine Benoit of California, Sue Hovatter of California and Marcia O'Hagan of California, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Dietz.
A private service will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
