Delaware Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association will launch "Memory Café" starting at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 25 in the CHEER Coastal Leisure Center, 30637 Cedar Neck Road, Ocean View, Del.
The monthly program will provide a safe environment where people with memory loss and their care partners can laugh, learn and be socially engaged with others in similar situations. Participants will share ideas, play games, experience art and music, and enjoy refreshments. Experts in the field will also be available to answer questions.
"Memory Café" will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the fourth Monday of each month. The first session will kick off with music by Delaware Hospice's Chaplain Michael Ntow, "All About Me" collages and information on the Medic Alert + Safe Return Registry.
The event is free, but a snack donation is requested. To register, or for more information, contact Yolanda Gallego at 302-539-2671 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
