Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week will take place March 10-16 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
"Inspiration for Life" will be this year's slogan. Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week is initiated by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) to focus attention on pulmonary rehabilitation's contribution to the individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Nanticoke is the first hospital in Delaware to complete the pulmonary rehabilitation certification from the AACVPR certification. Pulmonary Rehabilitation is designed to aid those who suffer from lung problems such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and restrictive pulmonary disease. This service encompasses such diseases as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial fibrosis, and many others.
