  • The Georgetown Fire Company and Station 93 of the Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service received donations from the town last week worth a combined $35,700.
    Georgetown Town Council presented a representative of each agency with a check for $5,000, which represents the town's annual donation, plus a second check for $12,856.13 paid out by the Georgetown Emergency Services Enhancement and Georgetown Recreation, Education & Arts Trust funding programs, which are funded through building permit fees.
