    Nickname: Golden Knights
    2012-2013 Record: Boys (5-8) Girls (2-11)
    Head Coach: Jen Novak
Key Returning Players: Greg Taylor, Rosemond D’Orleans, Kevin Simms, Kevine Nocks, Malik Bullock, Jamez Hall
    Season Outlook:
After a 2-win season as a team the previous season, the Sussex Central boys bounced back last campaign going 5-8 on the year. This season, with some returning standouts the Golden Knights hope to make even more improvements during this campaign. They are led by returnees Greg Taylor, Rosemond D’Orleans, Kevine Nocks, all of whom hope to compete at the conference and state levels. Also, senior Jamez Hall could give the team a boost if he is cleared to participate after requiring surgery to repair a torn ACL.  The Ravens are also looking for contributions from newcomers William Ortiz, a junior distance runner, and from freshman runner Rodney Pacheo.
From the Coach: “Our numbers are not big as expected, so we are lacking in depth across the board,” said Tech Head Coach Jen Novak. “We have a large group of distance runners who are dedicated and committed to the sport. Obviously, every student-athlete will be able to see what type of condition they are in after the first meet. From there, we will individually set goals for the season, looking to improve every meet. It is our hope that we have more individual state qualifiers than last season, as well as some competitive relay teams.”

Season Outlook: With many standouts returning to both the boys and girls teams for Tech, they look to once again compete at a high level amongst the rest of the Henlopen Conference.
