Delaware State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred around 9 p.m. Wednesday on Coastal Highway in Milton.
Police said 66-year-old James E. Dijiacomo of Milford was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Impala northbound in the right lane on Coastal Highway just south of Cave Neck Road near Milton when he was struck from behind by a 2011 Honda motorcycle driven by 24-year-old John D. Police said Vincent was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Beebe Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Dijiacomo, who police said was properly restrained, was not injured.
Police said Vincent was later cited for driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, driving while suspended or revoked, no motorcycle endorsement, no proof of insurance, no registration in possession, and no helmet in possession.
