A 55-year-old Millsboro woman was taken into police custody on April 22 for allegedly attempting to steal items from the Georgetown Wal-Mart.

A 55-year-old Millsboro woman was taken into police custody on April 22 for allegedly attempting to steal items from the Georgetown Wal-Mart.

According to the Georgetown Police Department, around 11:30 a.m., store employees observed Leona Dawson allegedly conceal numerous items on her person and attempt to leave without paying.

Police said Dawson was charged with shoplifting and was released on a criminal summons pending a future court date.
