  • A 26-year-old Seaford man was taken into police custody on April 22 following an early morning vehicle crash on The Circle in Georgetown.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, Nestor Ramirez was observed by police at about 2:45 a.m. operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed on W. Market Street. Police said the vehicle entered The Circle, but failed to turn right and continued heading east. Police said the vehicle struck a curb, a fire hydrant, and stopped on The Circle after striking the water fountain.
Police said they could smell alcohol on Ramirez’s breath, and he appeared to have received head injuries from the crash. He was transported to Beebe Medical Center for further evaluation. Charges are pending.
