A 60-year-old Georgetown man was taken into police custody on April 23 on outstanding warrants stemming from an incident that occurred in October 2012.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, Daniel W. Sillers was involved in a single-vehicle crash that resulted in property damage on Bridgeville Road. Police were able to locate Sillers about a half of a mile south of Bridgeville Road, and it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol. Police said Sillers was taken into custody, however during transport he complained of a possible cardiac problem and was transported by ambulance to Beebe Medical Center. Police said he was admitted to the hospital for a period of time to be treated for various medical issues.
Police said a computer check of Sillers' driver's license revealed that he had been convicted of numerous DUIs in the past.
Sillers was taken into police custody on April 23 in the Dover area on outstanding warrants. Police said Sillers was charged with felony DUI, leaving the scene of a property collision crash, and numerous other traffic violations. Sillers was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of bond, with a future court date.
