UPDATE: The Delaware Attorney General's office has confirmed that the charges filed against Scott D. Williams were dropped on Oct. 23.
A 34-year-old Crofton, Md. man was taken into police custody in Georgetown on April 26 on a warrant stemming from a March incident involving Facebook. The charges were dropped on Oct. 23.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, Scott D. Williams was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly threatening to kill a 68-year-old victim over a comment made on Facebook. Police said Crofton was taken into custody in Maryland and was extradited to Delaware on the outstanding warrant.
Crofton was charged with felony terroristic threatening. He was released on an unsecured bond with a future court date. The Delaware Attorney General's office confirmed the charges were dropped by the victim last month.
