  • Man tries to pass counterfeit money at Georgetown KFC

  • A 26-year-old Ocean City, Md. man was taken into police custody May 3 on an outstanding warrant regarding an incident at the Georgetown Kentucky Fried Chicken.

  • A 26-year-old Ocean City, Md. man was taken into police custody May 3 on an outstanding warrant regarding an incident at the Georgetown Kentucky Fried Chicken.
    According to the Georgetown Police Department, Justin Scanlon allegedly attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at the drive thru of the KFC on April 5, and fled the scene before police arrived.
    Police said Scanlon was incarcerated in Maryland, waived extradition, and was turned over to the GPD. Police said Scanlon was charged with first degree forgery and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of bond.
