A 28-year-old Georgetown woman was taken into police custody May 6 on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear at a child support hearing.

According to the Georgetown Police Department, Christina Lecates was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of the Sussex County Family Court. Police said they were summoned to a residence on Savannah Road in Georgetown after an anonymous caller advised that Lecates was at the residence and possibly had a warrant out for her arrest.

Police said Lecates was taken into custody without incident and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of cash bond.
