  • Georgetown man arrested for selling drugs at homeless shelter

  • A 21-year-old Georgetown man was taken into custody on May 9 after police said he attempted to sell suspected illegal narcotics at the Georgetown Crisis House.

  • A 21-year-old Georgetown man was taken into custody on May 9 after police said he attempted to sell suspected illegal narcotics at the Georgetown Crisis House.
    According to the Georgetown Police Department, officers were summoned to the shelter around 4 p.m. in reference to a subject living there that was possibly in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. Police said it is alleged that Michael R. Gray attempted to sell these narcotics to other residents at the Crisis House. Police said a search of Gray's living area revealed 18 bags of suspected heroin hidden in one of his shoes. Police said Gray was taken into custody with no incident.
    Police said Gray was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of bond with a future court date.
