Rep. Ruth Briggs King will hold a meet and greet session with constituents on May 23 at 6 p.m. at the Long Neck CHEER Center in the Shoppes at Long Neck.
Among the topics expected to discussed is the proposed Shellfish Aquaculture Initiative for Delaware’s Inland Bays. The anticipated multi-million dollar commercial industry would need legislative approval to move forward and King encourages residents of the 37th District to attend this presentation.
King said part of the feedback she’s received regarding the shellfish aquaculture project is that it would destroy the state’s recreational waterways. She said that is a serious allegation and she hopes to address it directly during the May 23 meeting.
The meeting is open to the public.
