  • The Town of Georgetown is accepting letters of interest for two vacancies on its Board of Adjustment.
    One position carries a three-year term that expires in January 2015, and the second carries a three-year term that expires in January 2016.
    Board members must be residents of the Town of Georgetown and should be knowledgeable of the problems of urban and rural development. The board hears and decides appeals in regards to special exceptions, variances, and where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official in the administration or enforcement of Chapter 230, Town Code. The board conducts regular meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m.
    Anyone interested in a position should submit a letter of interest no later than June 11 to Town of Georgetown, Planning Department, 39 The Circle, Georgetown, Del. 19947. For additional information, call the Planning Department at (302) 853-0104.
