  • Several Sussex Technical High School students received the Delaware Volunteer Credit and/or the President’s Volunteer Service Award for their volunteer efforts in the community.
    Created by the Delaware General Assembly in 1998, students in grades 9-12 can earn one elective credit towards graduation upon completing 90 hours of community service during two semesters. Presidential recognition is received in appreciation for volunteer hours earned over a 12-month period that demonstrates commitment and is an inspiration to others to engage in volunteer service.
    Sussex Tech students receiving the recognition are seniors Zachary Cannon of Seaford, Neisa Davis of Millsboro, Abigail Genshaw of Seaford, Devontay Jones of Laurel, Bethany Killmon of Bridgeville, Chelsea LeCates of Seaford, Shannon Lecates of Seaford, Lauren Shapley of Seaford, and Crystal Williamson of Seaford; juniors Zachary Adkins of Delmar, Zachary Bell of Seaford, Nhu Do of Seaford, Angela Lagano of Frankford, Emily Macklin of Ellendale, Bansri Patel of Seaford, Corrine Stewart of Seaford, George Trudeau of Frankford, Gene Wildonger of Seaford, and Laura Zwiebel of Millsboro; sophomore Michael Ross of Lewes; and freshmen Aaron C. Howard of Seaford and Emily Lee of Milford.
