  • Three Maryland men were arrested on May 31 for selling counterfeit merchandise out of Source 1 Wireless on Commercial Lane in Laurel.
    According to the Delaware State Police, a search warrant was executed on May 31 and 28-year-old Zarar Shauket of Delmar, 32-year-old Eitezaz Shauket of Salisbury, and 20-year-old Shane McAllister of Delmar were taken into custody inside of the business without incident.
    Police said over 1,252 items valued at over $100,000 were found to be counterfeit and seized. Police said the merchandise seized consisted of brand name items including Polo, Coach, Louis Vutton, Gucci, Reebok, Tory Birch, and NBA and NFL sports jerseys. Also discovered during the search was 16 grams of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police also seized $1,468 in cash proceeds from the business.
    All three face various charges, including trademark counterfeiting and second degree conspiracy. Zarar Shauket and Eitezaz Shauket were arraigned and released on $14,500 unsecured bond each. McAllister was arraigned and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
