The Board of Trustees of the Milton Historical Society has appointed Allison Schell as its new director.
Schell earned her bachelor’s degree in American History from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, and her master’s degree in Museum Studies from Georgetown Washington University in Washington, D.C. While living near Washington, D.C., Schell was a docent at the George Washington Masonic Memorial, worked in development at the National Women’s History Museum, catalogued the work of prominent Pennsylvania artist Quito Brodhead, and interned at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum. As an undergraduate, Schell interned at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History, and volunteered while studying abroad at the Strangers’ Hall Museum in Norwich, United Kingdom.
