  • A 48-year-old Milford man was arrested on May 31 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, officers were summoned to the intersection of North Bedford Street and Route 113 to check the welfare of a subject slumped over the steering wheel, while the vehicle was running. Police said they discovered Bretley Knox was the person in the vehicle, and they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. Police attempted to conduct a field test, but Knox reportedly refused any tests. Police said a computer check revealed that Knox has 10 previous arrests and convictions for DUI.
Police obtained a search warrant for a sample of Knox’s blood, and he was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for the blood draw. Knox was charged with felony DUI and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of bond.
