A 45-year-old Georgetown woman was arrested on June 4 for an outstanding warrant out of the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for failing to appear for an arraignment on traffic charges.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, officers were summoned to the 200 block of N. Bedford Street for a group of subjects loitering behind a business. Police said Sherida Davis was one of the subjects and, when officers checked her for warrants, they discovered she was indeed wanted. Davis was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of bond.
In an unrelated incident, a 41-year-old Laurel man was arrested on the same day after police received an anonymous tip that he was in an apartment in the 500 building of the Acorn Acres apartment complex.
Police said Kenneth Greene was wanted out of the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas and Laurel Alderman Court 35. Police said Greene was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas and released on a payment plan. Greene was then turned over to the Laurel Police Department for the charges out of their alderman court.
