Sussex County is seeing heavy rainfall, but meteorologists say it should clear up within the next half hour.
Erik Pindrock, meteorologist at Accuweather.com, said an area of severe thunderstorms developed across the Appalachian Mountains and have pushed eastward through Maryland and Virginia, and across the Chesapeake Bay to southern Delaware.
Pindrock said the county will get a half inch of rain within the half hour, with possible flash flooding. Winds are expected to range between 30 and 60 miles per hour.
The threat for severe weather will diminish after 6 p.m., so stay put, avoid the roads, and keep checking www.sussexcountian.com for updates!
